What does the Bible teach?
Of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end. (Isajah 9:7)
If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. (Romans 12:18)
What should we pray for?
For children who are especially vulnerable in situations of armed conflict and sometimes actively recruited and forced to participate in the violence.
For wisdom among world leaders as they work to decrease the number of violent deaths and reduce the stressors that lead to conflict.
For openness and accountability among institutions and corporations. That we will all engage in ethical business practice.
What can we do?
Demonstrating: Go to demonstrations for peace, justice and a good future for all. This is how you can express that these values are important to you.
Voting: Go to the polls!
Education: Find out how colonialism affected our society and societies abroad and find out about post- and neo-colonialism.
